RIPT Apparel for the hard-to-shop-for teen!

December 20, 2009

If you’re anything like me, you have at least one hard-to-shop-or teen on your holiday list (I happen to have three!). A trip through the mall is confusing at best… Hollister? Aeropostal? Maybe American Eagle? The concept of cool-one-day-repulsive-the-next is a veritable minefield for the well intentioned mom!

What to do? I found the perfect answer at RIPT Apparel!

RIPT Apparel provides artists and designers all over the world the opportunity to submit their T-shirt designs through an online design submission form. If selected, the artist is paid $1 for every shirt sold that day (although artists actually maintain ownership rights).

And the firm has a unique one-a-day sales model. Basically, once a T-shirt has outlived its 24-hours sales cycle, it is laid to Rest-In-Peace within the Shirt Graveyard, hence RIP-T’s. Clever!

I think that this is a really exciting opportunity to create a potential collector’s item — there’s nothing quite like being there at the start of a great artist’s career. And, as opposed to a Hot Topic T-shirt, your teen is guaranteed not to himself “coming and going” at every social function.

But the best part? Not only are these T’s a great fashion statement, at only $10 per T-shirt, they are also extremely affordable! RIPT Apparel T’s are high quality, made from 100% ring-spun cotton. They are also pre-shrunk (a huge bonus).

Not sure about sizing? RIPT Apparel conveniently offers a men’s sizing spec sheet and a women’s sizing spec sheet to ensure the perfect fit.

The only hard part? Choosing from all of the great designs!

I couldn’t agree more. RIPT Apparel is the perfect alternative to mall fashion and enormous Christmas crowds. They are even offering gift certificates right now for gift giving instead of tees since they can’t gaurantee shipments before Christmas.
