Pike Creek Coffee … yum!

January 6, 2010

It’s true. I’m addicted. To coffee, that is! And anyone who has known me for more than 15 minutes can sense the close, personal relationship I have with my coffee mug.

That’s why I was so excited to learn about Pike Creek Coffee Roasterie over the summer. Forget Starbucks! Coffees from Pike Creek are fresh roasted right around the corner from my house. Over the summer I enjoyed organic Bolivian beans and a soul-satisfying blend called Jamaican Me Crazy, which has a hint of coconut – and is absolute perfection served iced on a hot summer day.

But this winter, my addiction reached a fever pitch when I discovered Pike Creek’s seasonal specialty coffees. From Bananas Foster, to Pumpkin Pie, to Pecan, these specialty coffees are simply amazing. Just when I think I have a favorite, I try a new blend, and … wow!

On cold winter mornings like this one, when the snow is gently falling (yes, again!) I can curl up on the couch with a mug of steaming Pumpkin Pie and not even feel a twinge of dieters’ guilt. Heaven!

But don’t just take my word for it. Not only has Pike Creek Coffee been voted the best in the state, over the summer their coffee was included in themed “swag bags” for visiting entertainers like David Cook, Kelly Clarkson, Jeff Dunham, T-Pain, Demi Lovato, and Brad Paisley. And, this fall, chart-topping hip hop singer Jason Derulo enjoyed Bananas Foster on his visit here.

What’s next for Pike Creek Coffee? I’m not sure, but I know it will be delicious!

If your coffee tastes like coconut or pies, it’s not coffee.
