I’ve recently been waxing poetic about my love of cardigans. And it’s true, I have dozens. I even occasionally sport a few vintage pieces from the 1950’s that were my grandfather’s (perfect to snuggle up in on a snowy day like today).

But for the office, I need something a bit more polished, so I don’t end up looking like Mr. Rogers. Which is why I’m thrilled that belted cardigans are back in full force for winter.

Not only does a belted cardigan whittle the waist (love those figure flattering optical illusions!) it also turns a ho-hum weekend-only sweater into stylish office-wear.

I’ve chosen five beautiful belts that will help you with your transformation. Pair one with a thin cardigan (no bulky knits, please) and a black pencil skirt, and you have a completely new outfit for work, dinner, or drinks out with the girls!

While you’re here, don’t forget to enter to win a stunning pair of faux fur boot accessories! Multiple entry methods, plus, tweet 3x per day for even more entries! Contest ends 2-15.
